The FOS murder mystery: Who Killed the Pop Star? What’s it all about?
Who Killed the Pop Star? Is a professionally scripted murder play in three acts. In Act 1 you will discover the events leading up to the murder. In Act 2 you will witness the suspects being examined by Inspector Leather and his assistant, Jim Barton. And in Act three the murderer(s) and motives will be revealed.
This play is performed entirely by members of FOS. As a member of the audience you will not be required to act, merely to observe the events, unravel the clues and attempt to identify the murderer(s).
It’s 1986 and twins Derek and Cuthbert Thompson (Luke Bamford and Carl Arnott) are the successful pop sensation Wha-Hey!! (two exclamation marks.) Their last song spent 5 weeks at the top of the charts and was the Christmas number 1. Enjoying their fame and fortune, these boys have a bright future ahead of them.
But their quick rise to the top has seen them lose friends and create enemies, and when Derek is found dead at Banana Recording Studios one manic Monday morning it becomes clear that he had at least one enemy who was prepared to kill. But who..?
Come along to the village hall on Saturday 17th March and find out for yourself? Tickets, available from the Post office, are £7.50 each to include food. A bar is available all evening. Doors open at 7, performance begins at 7.30.
Prizes awarded to winning teams.
